The Eternally Irish team recently visited New York again to attend The Genealogy Event, which took place in Pier A, Battery Park with a fitting view of Ellis Island. Surrounded by the echoes of where many Irish took their first step on to American soil, full of hopes and dreams for a better life and the American dream, Eternally Irish provide an opportunity to record the many memories created during those life journeys.
The Genealogy Event focuses on providing the opportunity to learn and engage - over genealogy and DNA. Expert genealogists and speakers from Glasnevin Museum, New York Public Library and the Archdiocese of New York were there to guide the participants in Adare and New York. As a sponsor of both events, Eternally Irish owner and Galway Funeral Director, Tony Williams spoke to the participants. 'An Irish wake is where we share stories, memories and all the concepts and ideas about the person who just passed. But how often, when it's over, do we find we've forgotten so much of it?'
Here at EternallyIrish.com, that library of memories can be stored and shared for a lifetime. You can read more about The Genealogy Event here and view the Eternally Irish video here.
